Traveler - trying to resurrect

In case you, like the tomcat, would actually have liked to see Traveler continue as a series, there's a campaign to resurrect the show on a cable network (TNT). I think gecko and I were pretty schmeh on the it, so I am extremely ambivalent and won't be signing any petitions or sending candy/soda/condiments to any studios. If only I had gotten into Dead Like Me sooner, I might have been sending stuff to Showtime... It would be hilarious to get into a show much later, but then do whatever their renewal campaign was, but two/three/five/ten years later...

Fall 2007 TV is announced!

Things have been a bit crazy for me, so I haven't been posting about upfronts yet, but they are happening through Thursday. So yesterday NBC announced its fall schedule and ABC announced their's today. For lots of dirt on what's coming up, go to TV Guide's page on the upfronts or troll the futon critic's page.

Some of the highlights which have come out since last Friday - Friday Night Lights got renewned, the Office got picked up for 30 episodes, the Grey's spinoff will air on Wednesdays, Lost comes back next February, Studio 60 and Raines have been cancelled, Scrubs has been renewed, and Gilmore Girls' Amy Sherman-Palladino's show got picked up.

Andy Barker, PI

Uh oh, the last two episodes of Andy Barker, PI are going to be burned off on a Saturday night. This obviously does not bode well for the show, and its chances for getting a second season. Looks like Andy Richter may be a show killer; I really liked Andy Richter Controls the Universe, but his last two shows, Quintuplets and Andy Barker PI, have been less appealing to me. However, all three series have had very short runs, which always makes the tomcat very sad.

In other news, the nickname Lowest Common Denominator (LCD) appears to have stuck to the tomcat's friend who is in fact an LCD. So thanks to totoro, who I totally stole the nickname from. But seriously, this is the guy who has the Notebook and Brown Bunny out at the same time from Netflix...
