Korean television shows are very popular in Hawaii, and with my Hawaiian relatives... Maybe I should check it out. Unfortunately, I don't think Netflix is stocking any of the titles listed in the article.

Does this article indicate which shows the CW will pick up? Perhaps Everwood will survive... (from tvtattle.com)

from tvtattle: ABC will be streaming its shows in April. Hell, I could get some media PC and stop paying so darn much for extended basic cable if all the networks would do this. Bet the cable companies aren't happy.

I took a jetblue flight on Sunday night and I was all excited about being able to watch Grey's Anatomy on the night of and to have something fun to do on a long flight. Imagine my dismay when I realized that 36 channels of DirecTV does not include all the major networks! Of the major networks and netlets, it only had NBC and Fox. Bastards! Where's the WB and ABC?
If they're going to go with less popular channels, the least they could do is make one of the 36 channels the TV guide channel... How am I supposed to know what's on MSNBC or the National Geographic Channel at 10 pm at night?

Tivo Series3 release date analysis
Engadget has a nice analysis on the projected release date for the Tivo Series3 DVR, based on the fact that a contest has recently sprung up allowing people to win one.
Here's more info about the series3, but the bottom line is that you get HD and multiple tuners. If I ever get enough money to buy this thing and an HDTV, I may actually start blogging again.

Carissa, the little girl (nine-years-old, I think?) from the family edition of the Amazing Race writes recaps on the latest episodes
A few classic excerpts:
"Since Jeremy couldn't spank Monica's butt, he had to spank Eric's when Eric got in the car after the Climb. I thought that was really funny."
"I don't know why my Dad doesn't like Eric and Jeremy. I think it is nice that they don't want the girls to get eliminated."

A former Amazing Race contestant (Brian of Brian and Greg, the brothers, from TAR 7) lands a title role in a pilot. Also, it seems pretty clear that Joey is dead, as Jennifer Coolidge has been cast in another pilot.

I just realized that the Cutting Edge sequel is actually an ABC family movie. Now I'm torn between being trying to avoid the crap that is ABC family movies (they used to be kind of cute) and being inexplicably drawn to anything with the Cutting Edge. Curses.

TV Subscriptions via iTunes.
A few other stories: A lesson that the Netflix friends feature can be used against you. I was checking out the tomcat's Netflix queue and glanced at his friends, and lo and behold, one of his friends had one of the funniest combinations of movies ever. Seriously. It was Lords of War, Brown Bunny (of the Vincent Gallo/Chloe Sevigny um, action), and yes, the Notebook. Wow. What a combo! Don't think that we're not going to think less of this friend now.
Also, watched Just Like Heaven over the weekend and it was terrible. I shouldn't have expected better, but sigh, there was an awkward possession scene where Reese "takes over" Mark Ruffalo's body so he can do physical comedy, not enough cute falling-in-love montages, Mark Ruffalo as a landscape architect of a garden which Reese had mysteriously been to in her dreams at the very beginning of the movie (huh?), a whiny cover of the Cure's song 'Just Like Heaven' (not sure why I didn't see that coming), and a scene in the outtakes where Reese was on a harness and wires, flying around (which, thank goodness they cut that).

Kristen from E! Online says that Sons & Daughters, a new show premiering this week, is like Arrested Development, and is good. Maybe I'll send in the tomcat to check it out for me.

It appears that Charmed has finally been cancelled. Finally, someone at the WB has done the right thing and will be cutting me off.
