You can read all of Renegade's Magic: Book Three of The Soldier Son Trilogy by Robin Hobb online at the Harper Collins website. I was thoroughly addicted to an earlier nine book series she wrote, and I've read the first book in this series, but haven't gotten to reading the second book yet....

Which 9 book series? I remember reading the tawny man series and the assassins ones, but those were 3 book series. Boo on the free 3rd book though since the 2nd one is still only in hardcover. =(
It's the combination of the Assassins, Live Ships and Tawny Man series, since they all end up tying together. Incredibly addictive for me. And I think the second one is in paperback. If I'm motivated enough to read online, I might do that since I'm too cheap to buy the hardcover. Or I might just use the library... I need to get a new library card, since the library is just down the street from me.
I wonder why they decided to release this book. I need to catch up on my Robin Hobb. Yes, get a library card!
