Kristen Bell (i.e. Veronica Mars) already has one new show this upcoming television season, and although it is only a speaking role so far, she is the titular character in the upcoming CW show "Gossip Girl." Now she has one more, as she was recently signed on to the next season of Heroes to play yet another mysterious character.
Gossip Girl doesn't hold a whole lot of appeal to me, since it sounds like it's just going to be a bunch of teenagers being catty to each other, but it has gotten reasonable reviews thus far. Among the two main characters, one of them (Blake Lively) is in the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants franchise and the other is best known (to me) as the insane underage girl who goes after House.
Apparently Heroes has about 2853 new characters next season.

Heroes does seem to have a billion new characters, doesn't it? I think Kristen Bell was also rumored to be joining the Legally Blonde musical on Broadway... At least she won't be underutilized now that Veronica Mars has gone under...
