Amy Sherman-Palladino's new pilot

Amy Sherman Palladino is developing a pilot about estranged sisters who reconnect after one agrees to be a surrogate mother for the other's baby. Huh. I'm sure it might be funny, but it's hard to see the super funny immediately...

Yeah, but who thought a show about a 32-year old single mother and her teenage daughter would be funny. It took having GG on the same tape as West Wing episodes to get me to watch it. Yes, I said tape.

Tape! I think I'm the last human on earth still using a VCR regularly...no tivo for me.

I finally donated my VCR to Goodwill about a year ago, but haven't actually gotten rid of all my tapes. And another tragic thing is that I now have a HBO friends who I can probably mooch off of to get premium TV, but if I don't want to watch it in real time at their house, how do I get it home other than on a video tape? Dilemmas. Perhaps getting rid of the VCR was premature...
