Here's a funny listing of super cheesy songs that people are annoyed they like. I embrace my crappy music taste a bit more, but I am embarrassed that I like a number of these songs.
I also have to admit that Dancing with the Stars always gets me to download a number of older songs - I'm going to go get a couple from Monday's performances...

More TiVo functionality
The new Tivo desktop 2.4 will allow you to convert unprotected videos of a number of different formats to be viewed on your TiVo. It will convert the video during the transfer process. I'm pretty excited about this - I wish I had this when I was watching videos of the Amazing Race. Other new features include the ability to view flickr slide shows, and to stream home movies made via an external service.

Studio 60 toils on
Apparently, Studio 60 will film a full season of shows, despite the fact that they are no longer on the schedule. I guess it will all come out on DVD...

7-Eleven --> Kwik-E-Mart
This is fantastic, 7-Eleven is apparently working on a deal to make a few of their stores around the country look like Kwik-E-Marts, in preparation for the Simpsons movie.

Lost
A fun interview about the production of Lost. No spoilers, I don't think.

Battlestar
A fun Battlestar interview with Mary McDonald, Edward James Olmos and Ron Moore but seriously, don't read unless you've seen the episodes.

Music
The Music Supervisor from the OC and Grey's is starting a music label. This is pretty funny, but sadly, somewhat intriguing. Does this mean that she won't be working on Grey's anymore though? Hm...

This and that
Battlestar has gotten picked up for a full 20 episode season, in addition to the two-hour movie. I've heard rumors that the next might be the last season...
Veronica Mars is definitely on the death watch, and I'd be sad, but not that sad.
The tomcat has plowed through all previous six seasons of Gilmore Girls, which is pretty insane, and apparently has secretly been Tivoing all of this season, so I guess he's really going to clear up a lot of space on his TiVo when he gets going on that.
Happily, the guy who used to do the voiceovers on all the WB ads isn't going hungry; I heard him when I watched the Holiday last weekend. It was not a very good movie, though mostly fulfilling in a feel good way, but it was awesome to hear the WB guy!
I'm thinking about getting a Wii for myself since it's fun! But the tomcat is leaving his Wii with me for another couple months, so maybe I'll be able to hold out until next Christmas... Or maybe I won't give the tomcat back his Wii. Hmmm....

Breakaway
Apparently, Avril Lavigne co-wrote Breakaway, the Kelly Clarkson song. I wonder if she really co-wrote it or if some songwriter somewhere is swearing at her. Although I think she supposedly writes a number of songs, so it could be true...

ABC renewals
This is almost certainly a repost, since I am never the one to post stuff like this. But here's some news on ABC's renewals. Nyanko can bonk me when she shows me how she posted this news like 6 weeks ago.
http://www.tvsquad.com/2007/03/21/14-renewals-for-abc/
Notables are that all the big hitters are renewed (Lost, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy) but so are somewhat less watched shows like Men In Trees and Ugly Betty.
Does anyone watch Brothers & Sisters? The only reason I even know that show exists is because of Fantasy TeeVee.

Jonathan Adler face off!
I haven't watched Top Designer, in large part because of the less than complimentary recaps on TWOP, however it's funny to see that the recapper is now afraid of getting smacked by Jonathan Adler at the Christmas party now that Bravo has acquired TWOP.

TWOP gets acquired
Holy cow, Bravo is buying TWOP. Well, I hope they stay just as snarky...

The premiere date for ABC's Traveler, which got some good pre-season reviews, has been set for May 30.

Fantasy TeeVee league
Once again I fail to make the playoffs in our Fantasy TV league. And this time I can't say I didn't know the rules going into it, I simply did not cut it. My sister and I were both cut this season, although nyanko and tdawg somehow managed to have less total points than either of us, which is probably just skillful manipulation of lineups. I am glad we didn't decide on any prizes this time since I'd just be giving my money away.
American Idol Quirks still owned everything, just as a note.
Speaking of Fantasy games, yay for baseball season starting up again soon!

What's old is new again
Apparently, NBC is reediting previous episodes of the Office to include new footage or cut storylines, so you can watch an old episode, but with new stuff!

Next Disney Princess movie
The next Disney animated princess movie will take place in New Orleans. I love New Orleans, but I'm trying to imagine a movie that takes place in the French Quarter that doesn't involve Mardi GRAAAAAAAS and is a modern day fairy tale. Huh.

In the Land of Women
Adam Brody's new movie has a trailer out now, it's called In the Land of Women, and features Seth Cohen playing a slightly older role (graduated from high school) and Meg Ryan as the female romantic interest's mother. I guess we are finally moving into the next generation.
Speaking of people we recognize in other things, anyone notice the lead from Stick It in the latest episode of Heroes?

Amazon Unbox on TiVo
The ability to view Amazon Unbox videos on your TiVo has launched. I'm all registered, but the selection on Unbox is pretty limited so I don't think there's anything I want to buy yet. Now I just need Netflix integration into my Tivo.

I was kind of excited about the new show The Wedding Bells but the reviews are looking pretty bleak.

30 Rock
I didn't realize that this week's episode of 30 Rock will be the last one of the this TV season. So no new episodes in the fall. I can only hope they'll show reruns so I can catch up on the episodes I missed.
Update: I think I was wrong - I think they are just going on a six week hiatus, but will be back in May or so...

Six episodes of Andy Richter's new show, Andy Barker PI have been posted on NBC.com. Watch them now to get the numbers up so it won't get cancelled immediately!

ABC Yanks Poor 'Prosperity'
Knights of Propserity has already been pulled off the schedule. I have a couple episodes backlogged on my Tivo, but hadn't gotten around to watching yet. Although I have to brag that after a tragically concerted TV watching effort this weekend, I have achieved Tivo zero for the first time in probably five months...
And in the process, I have decided that Studio 60 is still very bad, but much like with Grey's, I can't tear myself away (if it ever comes back); and that I do enjoy 30 Rock, so I'm going to put it into my rotation of shows I actually watch. Although it conflicts with Grey's so I'll have to figure out if I want to get it from my roommate's tivo, or whether I'll catch it in reruns.

The Last Kiss
So I finally got around to watching The Last Kiss (Rachel Bilson is so pretty, but is still playing Summer Roberts). And guess what, the Netflix blurbs are small but have lots of information. And in this case, the information was that it was a remake of an Italian movie (L'Ultimo Bacio, which translates to The Last Kiss) which I saw several years ago. And of course, I didn't make the connection even though the titles are exactly the same. Sigh. And even worse, this is not the first time I've had this issue. I also saw both versions of Fever Pitch, but apparently completely forgot about it until reminded by an outside source.
