Pushing Daisies stuff

I hadn't realized this, but apparently, Pushing Daisies is basically a spin-off of Dead Like Me in spirit. Brian Fuller worked on both shows and had planned to have a storyline where George (the main character on DLM) could not collect souls because she came across a person who could bring people back to life with a touch. DLM then got cancelled so he decided to make it into a separate show. I wonder if he would have pitched this if he knew that DLM was going to get a direct to DVD movie which is slated to release next spring. Also, one other tidbit from the article is that the pies on the set of Pushing Daisies are real and they get a chef in every week to make the pies. Yum!

That's really cool and completely makes sense. It would be interesting if they did a joint episode between the pushing daisies crew and the dead like me crew.

Crossover!
Also, mmm pies.

My only issue with Pushing Daisies (with a huge sample size of 2 episodes) is that Chuck varies from incredibly cute to not cute at all. Too much variance.

Meaning cute in how she looks or cute in what her character is like?

It's a combination, really. Since cuteness encompasses looks as well as behavior. I haven't watched today's episode yet but I'm looking forward to it. Also I wish they would cut it out with the extremely detailed times "A years B days C hours etc..."
