This is an addendum to nyanko's earlier post concerning the new sitcom Jake in Progress. (I'd say what station it's on, but I really have no idea. Zen TV.)
Bottom line is that it was a real disappointment, John Stamos can definitely pull off his best white Kevin Hill imitation, but the women aren't as attractive and the funny isn't there to pull this off as a 30 min laugher.
A friend of mine, who shall be known as Snuffles, was particularly put off by the pilot's overuse of a sweaty-palm motif for laugh-generation. Sweaty palms are not funny. Let that be a lesson.
Pain Index: 1 spiky ball, not funny enough to be painful
Cliche Index: very high.
Final Conclusion: I may watch a couple more episodes because I'm desperate for half-hour shows to fill that niche, but it's not looking good.
